AWB March 10, 2018
The AWB meeting was called to order by President Alice Valdez at 12:15 pm. The meeting was held at Anthony’s Restaurant.
The Lord’s Prayer was recited.
Shirley Brokaw Recording Secretary called the roll. 21 Members were present, and Molly Jones our Junior Member. We had two guests Amy and Katelyn Bolling (Alice's Daughter and Granddaughter).
President Valdez proceeded to Committee Reports:
Renay Roby, Health Benefits Chair reported that the committee awarded one member $100.
Lisa Eleazor, Special Services Chair had no report.
Terrie Arnold Fund Raising reported she was in the process of writing a letter so we could send them to businesses. Terrie also reported she would be looking to starting the nut sales, she would need someone to assist with transportation.
The Treasurer William Hawkins reported our checking account had $2,172.32 American Century investment$36,904.83 Disbursements was $500. $250 was given to Crishanda Davis who is deaf-blind, and attending Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, and $250 to Alpha pointe for their youth camp program.
A motion was made to except the report and file it for audit.
Education and Advocacy Chair reported Legislative Days would be held on March 13, in Jefferson City. The bills that will be discussed with the representatives and Senators are HB2171, and SB 930.
