Allied Workers for the Blind Minutes for March 5, 2015
Meeting began at 7:35 p.m. Vice-President Tom Jones lead the assembly in the Lord’s Prayer.
There was 26 members present.
Minutes from February meeting were read with corrections. Motion was made and second. Assembly approved motion.
Treasurer Alice Valdez reported $1418.02 in the bank. There was a check issued to checker cab for $220 for January and $165 for February.
Transportation Chairperson Ricky Hampton reported that we had 16 riders and 5 cars.
Education and Advisory Chairperson Eldon Cox reported Blind Pension and Aid of the Blind were moving to one office. Legislator Days will be March 30 and 31. There is one bill of interest to do with Medicaid.
Fundraising Chairperson Jackie Lars reported about an $8 coupon for Krispy Kreme Donuts we could sell. Motion to table this until April was made and second. Assembly approved motion.
Health Benefits Chairperson Jackie Lars had no report.
Special Services Chairperson Cheryl Anthony reported there was 1 request made for services.
Activities Chairperson Brandi Jones reported Royal Game on September 6th cost of $35.
Corresponding Secretary Chairperson Barbara Dewberry reported that were two birthdays in March. They are Alice Valdez and Terri Arnold.
Odd Business By-Laws Chairperson Greg had the change read to the assembly and will be voted on in April meeting.
