Minutes for March 7, 2014
Meeting was called to order by President William Hawkins at 7:30 p.m.
President William led the assembly in the Lord’s Prayer.
24 members and 5 guests were present.
Recording Secretary Bill Reynolds made a motion to approve January minutes and was they were approved by assembly.
Treasurer Alice Valdez reported 626.25 in checking 3,127.11 in investments.
Public Relations and Media chairperson Tracey Hawkins reported she wrote an article in Chronicle on the behalf of Allied Workers.
Membership chairperson Norman Burke-Yale no report.
Transportation chairperson Ricky Hampton reported 13 riders and 4 vehicles.
Education and Welfare chairperson Eldon Cox reported State Legislative Days in Jefferson City is April 2 there is 3 bills to discuss. Two of them are Vision exempt, and Voting machines.
Fundraising Jackie Lars reported that there is no report.
Health Benefits chairperson Jackie Lars reported no report.
Corresponding Secretary Barbra Dewberry reported 1 birthday in February (Terri) and 1 in March (Janelle).
Special Services chairperson Cheryl Anthony reported there is no report.
Activities Linda Coccovizzo reported on tour at Rotisserie Coffee. Motion was made and was passed by assembly.
MCB Report no report next meeting is in April in Springfield, Missouri.
Odd Business Janelle Edwards made a motion to amend February 2013 minutes on Constitution and Bylaws to say voted and approved by assembly.
New Business April meeting will be off site location at a price of $10.
Motion to adjourn was made and second motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
