Allied Workers for the Blind Minutes for February 6, 2015
Meeting began at 7:35 p.m. Jerry Annunzio lead the assembly in the Lord’s Prayer.
There was 26 members and 3 guests present.
Motion was made and second to accept the minutes from previous month meeting.
The assembly approved the motion.
Treasurer Alice Valdez reported we made deposit of $1,558.02 in the bank. We still are waiting to hear from audit.
Public Relation and Media Chairperson Tracey Hawkins reported she wrote an article in the Chronicle on what AWB was doing.
Transportation Chairperson Ricky Hampton reported we had 9 riders and 3 cars.
Fundraising chairperson Jackie Lars reported she was working on a fundraiser with Krispy Kreme Donuts.
Health Benefits chairperson Jackie Lars had no report.
MCB Board report: President William Hawkins reported that there will be a conference call of the board on two subjects. The topics are the grants and moving from Wells Fargo to James Finances.
Special Services Chairperson Cheryl Anthony had no report.
Activities chairperson Brandi Jones reported she is looking for a place for April meeting. Also working on getting Kansas City Royals tickets.
President William Hawkins made a report about the changes that we need to change.
Motion was made and second for Greg Hollins would be the chair for the By-Laws Committee.
Melvin Smith gave a convention committee report we need to get donations for goodies bags.
The 50/50 drawing was $60.00. The winner was Janie Vaughter she won $30.00.
Motion for adjournment was made and second. The assembly approved motion.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
